Our company originally opened its doors in 1930. In 2001, we put all our knowledge and experience into branding our performance division, Bully Performance Clutch.
Bully was researched and designed for the racing and street car enthusiast by other enthusiasts who happen to be friction specialists. We knew what it felt like to floor the throttle in your high-powered car and only receive a moderate reaction. We also recognized the maintenance costs that occurred with repeated harsh engagements. Our main research path followed as closely as possible to O.E. pressure plate engagement characteristics to help maintain longevity of surrounding components such as slave and master cylinders, forks, thrust bearings, cables, etc... On the other hand, we also wanted to considerably increase the applied clamping force to help hold the load of today's high horsepower vehicles.
So on we went with our R&D to find the perfect friction materials along with the best relationship between performance and reliability. Each of our selected components were rigorously tested to insure the highest quality for production.
Our Bully Performance Clutch kits are put to the test by many drifters in the Castrol DMCC Series, notably by the 2007 and 2008 Champion Frederic Girard. We also have many participants from the Castrol Canadian Touring Car Championship, Mobile 1 GT Sprints, CASC-OR Vintage Series, GranAm Cup Series, World Challenge Series and various Canadian Rally series that chose our products over the competition.
Friction Materials
Organic woven metal-fiber delivers smooth engagement and is the choice of original-equipment when it comes to clutch disc friction material. It requires minimal-to-no break in period. This material can overheat with repeated abuse. Kevlar is a highly durable material that has similar engagement characteristics as organic. When segmented, Kevlar provides better heat dissipation. This material requires a 500 to 800 miles (800-1280Km) break in period. Ceramic is a very high temperature resistant material. It's generally utilized in puck style disc for high horsepower and race applications. This material will wear flywheel surfaces faster than organic and Kevlar, especially in stop and go traffic situations. Ferramic is an extremely high temperature resistant material. It has the best friction coefficient at high temperature. The engagement is more aggressive than ceramic and is harsher on the flywheel surface. When contaminated with oil or grease, this material can fuse to the flywheel or pressure plate's riding surface. This material is only available on custom orders.
A smooth engagement is achieved when combining an OE quality organic disc with a mild clamp load increased pressure plate.
This stage increases the torque capacity by 15-20% making it a perfect choice for the daily driven vehicle with the typical bolt-on.
A dual friction disk that incorporates a steel back plated segmented Kevlar facing on the pressure plate side while keeping the organic on the flywheel side, further increasing the torque capacity.
Very popular with showroom, stock racing or touring cars where the engine output is within 40% of the OE offering.
When it comes to friction coefficient, Kevlar is a major improvement over an organic composite yet has similar engagement characteristics.
A full steel back plated segmented Kevlar disc combined with our modified pressure plate improves the torque capacity by 40-60%.
The stage 3 is ideal for the occasional track days and milder forced induction setups.
The stage 4 is our best seller and lets you choose between a 4 or 6 puck sprung disc for more aggressive shifting.
The pressure plate and puck style disc combination yields an increase in torque capacity of 80-100%. In addition, it provides a more direct feedback.
Although recommended for racing as well as forced induction applications, the ceramic buttons do have a wide operational range which allows for daily driving.
An un-sprung 3 or 4 puck disc with ceramic buttons contribute in making the stage 5 a full race and drag clutch.

BULLY CLUTCH WARRANTY
Bully warrants all products to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for normal use and service for a period of ninety (90) days from retail purchase. Bully does not warrant or make any representations concerning its clutch products when not installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions for such installation and maintenance practices of the automotive industry.
Bully Clutch will not be liable for labor charges, and other intangible or consequent losses that might be claimed as a result of the failure of any part, nor shall they be liable for damages or injury to any persons or property resulting from the misuses or improper installation of any part subject to this warranty.
Bully reserves the right to examine all parts returned for warranty claim to determine whether or not any such part has failed because of a defect in material or workmanship. Bully's obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repairing, replacing, or crediting, at their option, any part found to be so defective, regardless of whether any part is repaired, replaced, or credited under this warranty. All transportation charges on the return of such parts must be prepaid by the customer. There are no other warranties either expressed or implied, which extend beyond those set forth in the preceding paragraphs.
